Monitoring and evaluation indicators

The lack of monitoring and evaluation data impedes the development of actions and policies for orphans and vulnerable children.

Thus, the United Nations adopted a core set of indicators to monitor progress and to evaluate actions implemented UNICEF, UNAIDS et al., 2004.

These indicators concern policies and strategies, education, health, nutrition, psychosocial support, family capacity, community capacity, resources, protection, and institutional care and shelter UNICEF, UNAIDS et al., 2004.
