Abstract : This sixth edition of "AIDS in Kenya provides" current information on the scale of the epidemic in Kenya and serves to reinforce the government's commitment to fight against HIV/AIDS. It provides in-depth analysis of the epidemiology, and the social and economic impacts of the virus. Furthermore, it highlights the existing programs and activities all over the country. Also presented is the "Sessional Paper No. 4 of 1997 on AIDS in Kenya (Ministry of Health 1997), which reviews the challenges imposed by the epidemic and describes the strategies and interventions that the government has adopted.
