This document describes Ipas activities to address these issues.

Though abortion in Peru is legally permitted only to save the woman's life or to prevent serious injury to her health, incidence of abortion is high. It is estimated that five out of every 100 women of reproductive age have abortions each year; almost half of the women who undergo an abortion suffer complications. This document describes Ipas activities to address these issues.
